The shapes Patrick has created are flattering and feminine. Plaits and braids form the foundation of each style and are dressed to create beautiful hair sculptures.
Delicate cornrow plaits provide a delicate textured head shape, with soft tendrils around the face adding a fresh feel to a classic age-old technique. From two hair line braids, which are dressed into several braids, an intricate profile shape is created by twisting and joining the braids together. Hairpieces have been worked to add strength and definition to the shape. Working with long, one length hair, Patrick has created the allusion of height by looping loosely braided hair into a sweeping roll.
A Crescent of twisted curls from ear to ear creates a strong contrast with the front of Patrick's next innovative look. Drawing inspiration from the 'Frida Kahlo knot' and combining the popular catwalk braided style, Patrick's creation is simple yet effective. By braiding at the front hairline and working round the head, Patrick creates a look that is fresh and alluring adding a modern texture to a classically beautiful roll, soft and flattering, suitable for any occasion.
As always it is Patrick's aim to create beautiful hairstyles, flattering women and making them feel more feminine. His skills in drawing from a multitude of extremely different and contrasting sources, applying age-old techniques to new shapes, allow him to create hair fashion that is truly original, ensuring him his place in hairdressing's hall of fame.
